Celebrating 10 Years of Mario Ultrastar: A Remastered Sprite Animation Series!

I’m beyond excited to share some fantastic news with you all. Today marks a special celebration

— the 10th anniversary of my very first sprite animation series, Mario Ultrastar! 🎉

For those who might be new to my work, Mario Ultrastar is a series I started back in 2014 and worked on until 2019 — I was just 12 when I started animating! It began as a simple project on Scratch, but it quickly became much more than that. As one of my first attempts at animation, it holds a special place in my heart. Each episode was a learning experience with its own ups and downs, and plenty of mistakes along the way. But that’s what made the journey so rewarding!

In celebration of its 10th anniversary, I’ve been hard at work remastering the entire series to air on YouTube! I’ve gone through each episode, enhancing the animation, fixing up scenes, adjusting the sound and music, and even reanimating some parts. It’s been a labour of love, and I’m thrilled to present these episodes to you with a fresh new look. You’ll see how much the animation quality improves as the series progresses — a testament to the growth I’ve experienced over the years. While I had big dreams for Mario Ultrastar — including plans for over 20 episodes — life had other plans, and I had to pause the series. But the joy of animating these episodes never left me, and I’ve always hoped to bring this series back in some form. Who knows what the future holds? Maybe Mario Ultrastar will return with a revamped storyline, polished animations and new adventures!

For now, let’s celebrate this special sprite animation series together! I’m deeply thankful for all the support I’ve received over the years, especially from those who inspired me to push my creativity and bring my animations to life. Your encouragement has been a driving force in this journey, and it truly means the world to me.
